Most of what makes a kitchen work is hidden behind the units: the water supply, the waste, the gas to the hob and often the boiler or radiators that need moving. Because plumbing and heating is our trade, we get that part right first, before a single cabinet goes in.
We then fit the units, worktops, sink, taps and appliances, so you have one team responsible for the whole job rather than a fitter and a plumber working around each other. Before work starts you get a fixed written quote and a clear plan for each stage.

How a kitchen fit runs
- Strip out: removing the old units, worktops and appliances
- First fix: new water, waste and gas pipework, and moving radiators or the boiler if needed
- Units: fitting base and wall units, level and secure
- Worktops, sink and taps fitted and sealed
- Second fix: connecting the hob, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine, then testing everything
Gas work is carried out by our Gas Safe registered engineers. Any new electrical work, such as sockets or lighting on a new circuit, is carried out by a registered electrician.

What affects the price
The cost depends on the size of the kitchen, the units and worktops you choose, and how much the layout changes. Moving the sink, hob or boiler takes more work than keeping things where they are. Once we have seen the job, you get one fixed, written price.

Kitchen Fitting: common questions
Do you supply the kitchen or fit one I have bought?
Both. We can fit a kitchen you have already ordered, or advise on what will work in your space before you buy.
Can you move the sink, hob or boiler?
Usually, yes. Moving them means new water, waste or gas pipework, which we check during the visit and include in the quote.
Do you connect the gas hob as well?
Yes. MST Plumbing & Heating is on the Gas Safe Register, registration number 632854, so the gas connection is part of the same job.
How long does it take to fit a kitchen?
It depends on the size of the kitchen and how much the layout changes. We give you a timescale with your quote, so you know how long you will be without a working kitchen.
